This is one of the first abstracts that I painted. My style at that time had been pretty illustrative. You can see this in my use of lines. Lines are pretty predominant in my current work as well.We had spent a fair amount of time in Utah, visiting the national and state parks. I was greatly influenced by the colours and shapes that I saw. I can see Mesa Verde coming through in this piece as well.
